What is catlinite? It
is a special red pipestone that is called the sacred stone by the Dakota
Indians. It is only found in SW Minnesota & has been mined there for over
300 years.

L X 3.5”H. Made by Preston Miller here at Four Winds. Hitched horsehair stem cover is black, lt. brown, dk. brown,
grey & white (all natural
colors). Made by Robert Gardner, Apache Indian. Litely stained hand-carved
